Description
The TALAN 3.0 telephone line analyzer offers advanced capabilities to detect and locate tampering and security vulnerabilities on digital, analog, and VoIP telephone systems. It allows you to test twisted pair cables for modern telecommunications threats, including network cable shielding and grounding.
Compare results from multiple tests across multiple phone lines to quickly identify potentially dangerous anomalies.
It combines multiple countermeasure test capabilities in a single device (voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, nonlinear junction detection, frequency domain reflectometry, and digital demodulation technology).
It weighs only 2.7kg and data can be exported for further analysis and reporting.
It combines multiple test functions in a single device. An internal automatic pair switching function allows testing on all cable pair combinations.
VoIP traffic filtering makes it easy to detect and identify suspicious information in data packets.
The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm converts network traffic into a spectral display, creating visually recognizable patterns that would not be easily noticed in a traditional list of data packets (e.g. WireShark).
Quickly performs the most common test functions, including: multimeter testing (voltage, current, resistance, capacitance); RF wideband detector (up to 8 GHz); spectrum analyzer (up to 85 MHz); high-gain audio amplifier; ±80 V DC bias generator; active-input audio oscilloscope (20 Hz to 20 kHz); digital demodulation available to confirm the telephone line is not transmitting audio; frequency domain reflectometer (FDR) to check for drops on the line; nonlinear junction detector (NLJD) capability to detect electronic devices connected to the line; ability to run tests on all combinations of line pairs, storing data for historical comparisons and comparisons to other lines.
