HackRF One SDR Radio Educational Spectrum Analyzer
The HackRF One SDR radio is an extremely low-cost, half-duplex receiver/transmitter that can be effectively used for training and learning the fundamentals of using Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers (RTSA). With a minimal investment, a laptop PC, and open-source software, you can observe real-time RF emissions from 1 MHz to 6 GHz for radio base stations, cellular telephone towers (BTS), radio frequency jammers, cell phones and cordless phones (DECT), UHF/VHF bugs, etc.

Description
HackRF One is a Software Defined Radio (SDR) device capable of transmitting or receiving radio signals from 1 MHz to 6 GHz. Designed to enable the testing and development of modern and next-generation radio technologies, HackRF One is an open-source hardware platform that can be used as a USB device or programmed for standalone operation.
HackRF One can be used in countless surveillance and countersurveillance applications. For example, it can be used as a spectrum analyzer for simple tasks, such as checking for the presence and frequency of jamming signals and detecting bugging transmissions using unsophisticated radio technology. It can also be used to generate artifactual GPS signals (spoofing) for laboratory testing of GPS devices without having to move. Overall, it’s a good learning tool.
There is a wide range of open source software available for various uses, and the limits on their use are set almost exclusively by the imagination of independent developers.
