Variable Magnetic Field Analyzer – Magnetometer

Portable magnetometer with high sensitivity and features suitable for TSCM – Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (Environmental Sweeps, Electronic Sweeps, Bug Sweeps). It allows you to detect switched-on devices that do not transmit radio waves (RF), even if shielded by metal casings.

Description

The Magnetometer allows for a different type of TSCM control than conventional techniques and allows for the detection of hidden electronic devices that elude commonly used search methodologies.

The Magnetometer was developed to address a critical operational gap in modern TSCM operations: the ability to detect the presence of electronic devices that do not transmit radio frequency energy and are shielded by metal enclosures.

These include devices such as micro recorders, temporarily silent bugs such as those with Store & Forward technology, bugs programmed to remain silent until reactivated by a radio command, and bugs in “deep sleep” mode, programmed to wake up and transmit audio data at a specific date and time.

All of these devices are generally equipped with an oscillator or timer that generates weak, oscillating electromagnetic fields. While electric fields are blocked by metal enclosures, this does not block oscillating magnetic fields, which can be detected by the magnetometer.

Compact, portable and highly sensitive, the device is optimized for locating electronic components hidden within walls, ceilings, furniture or metal casings, the latter often used to shield devices from RF detection systems, such as non-linear junction detectors (NLJDs).

Using headphones, the pulsating magnetic fields are converted into audible signals and simultaneously displayed on the device’s scrolling display (which shows the amplitude as a function of time). The intuitive user interface, lightweight design, and power supply via common AA batteries ensure complete portability.
