The ST 400 CAYMAN Non-Linear Junction Detector (NLJD) is designed to detect electronic devices containing semiconductor elements. The device can detect both switched-on and switched-off electronic devices and determine their location.

The operator can distinguish semiconductor responses from other responses, such as those due to corrosion, metal-oxide-metal (MOM) structures, and metal.

It has three operating modes. Search Mode – main operating mode; Audio Mode – auxiliary operating mode; Adaptation Mode – service mode.

The Search mode (main mode) is designed to detect the responses of nonlinear junctions, i.e. different materials in contact with each other (the ratio between the levels of the signals reflected by the devices is analyzed).

Audio mode allows you to demodulate the target’s response and listen to it through the built-in speaker or headphones. It is recommended to use this mode after detecting a target response in Search mode.

Adaptation mode is a service mode. It is designed to tune the NLJD to optimal parameters and ensure the most efficient search in a specific electromagnetic environment.

You should use Adaptation mode every time you turn on the NLJD and periodically during the search. During adaptation, the antenna should be oriented away from electronic devices and large metal objects.

The CAYMAN ST 400  It consists of the main unit and the antenna module. These are connected by a telescopic arm.
